Games for Switch
Well Dweller: A dark fairy-tale metroidvania coming in 2026. Play as Glimmer, a determined bird armed with a match, who must battle frightening forest beasts and solve puzzles on a quest to save his family from the evil queen.
Neverway: Available 2026 and described as a “nightmarish life sim RPG,” Neverway features Fiona, a seemingly down-on-her-luck girl who quits her job only to become the immortal herald of a dead god. It’s horror meets Stardew Valley as Fiona unlocks combat buffs by meeting and dating unique NPCs.
Herdling: From the creators of Firewatch and launching on August 21, 2025, players can experience a variety of natural environments and challenges as they guide a herd of creatures called Calicorns through the alpine wild.
Is This Seat Taken?: This a unique puzzle game launches today and challenges players to optimally organize characters with different personalities based on their preferences.
Little Kitty, Big City: “The Picture Puurfect” is a free update that launches later this year. It adds a cat customizer, new areas to explore, new friends to meet, and new camera mode features.
Games for Switch 2
Mina the Hollower: An 8-bit action adventure from the creators of Shovel Knight. Play as Mina, a Hollower who needs to use her trusty whip, Nightstar, and an arsenal of other weapons to free a cursed island. Mina the Hollower launches on Halloween 2025, but the demo is out now.
Content Warning: This popular online co-op horror game that has players recording their friends’ viral moments as they traverse the Old World is heading to Switch and Switch 2 in 2026.
BALL X PITT: A unique roguelite where players save the fallen kingdom of Ballbylon by gathering an arsenal of ball types and allies to purge the monster-filled bottomless pit. BALL X PITT comes to Switch 2 in the fall and on Switch on October 15, 2025.
Ultimate Sheep Raccoon: A chaotic bike-racing party game where friends don’t just race, they build the courses and obstacles they compete on. The madness begins on Switch 2 and Switch in the winter of 2025.
Glaciered: A timed-exclusive underwater action game that takes place in a frozen future 65 million years from now. You play as a Tuai, a new species that fights big, dangerous beasts that dare threaten the Everwinter. The game launches this holiday.
Other Indie Games on the Way
Winter Burrow: Winter is coming in this “cozy woodland” survival game. Play as a mouse who needs to gather resources and craft tools to fix up their childhood burrow. Winter Burrow arrives this winter.
Undusted: Letter from the Past: A casual game coming in October. Players clean rusty, forgotten items to uncover past stories about about this old, family house.
Tiny Bookshop: This casual management simulator where players open a seaside bookshop is available today!
Caves of Qud: A science fantasy roguelike coming winter 2025 where players build a character to explore a greatly simulated world that's rich with stories.
Strange Antiquities: Launching officially on September 17, 2025, players run a shop specializing in occult antiquities. You’ll identify the arcane while creating bonds with your clientele.
OPUS: Prism Peak: A narrative-driven adventure about a photojournalist displaced from reality and trying to find his way home through the lens of his old camera. Coming this fall.
Go-Go Town!: A new city-building simulator that looks like a charming marriage between Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. Launches springtime 2026.
UFO 50: A collection of 50 8-bit-style games that's available today! The collection features single and multiplayer games that combine 8-bit nostalgia with modern game mechanics.
